This is my favorite (take no offense here) "junk shop" in Myrtle Beach. They have a couple different sections of bigger sizes which I greatly appreciate. They also have some unique things you won't find at the other stores. Plus it's right on the way back from Broadway at the Beach.

I don’t even know where to start. The best beach store on the east coast and possibly the entire country. The staff is on point and keeps the entire facility clean and lively. The selection of merchandise is unmatched. I highly recommend you stop here.

I experienced nothing like some of the bad reviews on here. Upon walking in we were greeted by a really nice man running the register. After finding some T-shirt’s priced pretty average for a tourist place I went to the counter And asked where the shot glasses were and he kindly pointed me in the right direction. Once it was time to check out we all made small conversation in which I coughed a couple times on top of having hiccups.. the man kindly handed me a water bottle and told me to feel better. Overall a great experience.

Remarkable service and excellent selections. Me and my buddies came into Myrtle for a beach weekend and we always go to beach clothing stores just so see what they have. This store has a fantastic vibe and an amazing staff that was super helpful with answering any questions we had. Highly recommend to anyone who goes!

I usually don't write reviews, but Whales truly deserves it. From the moment you walk in, the store feels incredibly welcoming. It's one of the best places to grab your local beachwear needs you name it, they have it. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. The owner is an amazing person who goes above and beyond to ensure customers have a great experience. Highly recommend visiting Whales for all your beachwear needs!

I grew up coming to Whales Beachwear every summer during our family trips to Myrtle Beach, and it’s still one of my favorite spots. The selection is always the best—everything you need for a perfect beach day—and the employees are so friendly and helpful. It’s a must-visit every time I’m in town!
